The Secret of Early Education

It was my childhood dream to be a kindergarten teacher. Luckily, my dream became true.

Teaching is a profession which changes the world. Sounds too dramatic, but each of those little hearts has its own world. I saw it changing so many times, kids struggling with sharing, following rules, or even being too shy to show their true sparkle.

Years pass, seasons change, but playing stayed our top priority. Learning, growing and improving in early education is just possible when you let them discover things by themselves. Good guidance and the right supervisor skills are the key for a happy child.

When it comes to teaching English as a second language, I love to take a little bit of everything: a little bit of music, a little bit of playing, or even a little bit of shouting. Kids love to be loud, messy, and expressive. The recipe for a successful lesson is dance, play, and repeat.

Learning through music and dancing lets them learn faster and improve their gross motor skills. Playing with Legos or blocks gives them the opportunity to build worlds in real figures, while they improve fine motor skills and expand their imagination.

Everyone asks, ‘How do you manage to teach such small kids for so long?’ That’s not something to manage; that’s a lifestyle. Enjoying their smiles, hugs, or jokes makes it worth all of my time.

Kids are like a blank sheet of paper. ‘Children learn more from what you are, than what you teach.’ — William Edward Burghardt

So, let’s be the best version of ‘us’. Co-working parents and teachers are the real heroes. A good teacher and supportive parents—together, may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly.
